Michelle Mazur

OTR/L, CHT, Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist

I have always been fascinated by the hand and upper extremity.  We utilize our hands to care for ourselves and others, to console and caress, to communicate compassion, anger, understanding and confusion.  Our hands are often the most intricate interface we have with our environment, yet are strong enough to be used as a tool or deadly weapon.  The functional significance of the arm is often unrecognized or truly appreciated until we have lost function. I love the knowledge and relationships I’ve developed through my clients who have challenged me to understand and effectively address the impact an injury or disease has upon the individual.
